Aston Villa will reportedly keep Paul Lambert as manager, even if the club get relegated to the Championship by the end of the season.

Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert will reportedly keep his job at the Midlands outfit, even if the club suffer relegation from the Premier League.

The Scotsman has struggled throughout the campaign by picking up just 24 points from 28 games, which has placed Villa third from bottom in the table.

Despite the club's form, it is believed that American owner Randy Lerner will keep Lambert at the helm to continue developing their young squad, according to the Daily Star.

The 43-year-old left Norwich City to take over from sacked Alex McLeish nine months ago.
