Tim Sherwood unconcerned over Villa job

Tim Sherwood insists that he cannot afford to worry about his Aston Villa future after the Villans slumped to a fifth straight Premier League defeat.

Under-fire Tim Sherwood has insisted that he is unfazed by speculation over his future as Aston Villa manager following his side's fifth straight Premier League defeat.

Two goals from Diego Costa saw the Villans' slump to a 2-0 reverse at champions Chelsea on Saturday in a result which keeps Sherwood's men 18th in the table.

"I can't worry about speculation. It's business as usual for me, I haven't heard anything otherwise, I'll continue to do my best," he told Sky Sports News.

"It's always a concern when you're not winning matches, we need to look at both ends [of the pitch] and continue to work hard to try put things right."

Sherwood, who led Villa to the FA Cup final last season, replaced Paul Lambert in February.
