Nicolai Boilesen's agent has confirmed that there has been interest in the Ajax defender during this summer's transfer window.
The Denmark international has been heavily linked with a move to Aston Villa, with just one year remaining on his contract with the Dutch side.
Kenny Boilesen, who is also the father of the defender, told Ekstra Bladet: "I can't comment on which clubs are showing interest in Nicolai. But I can state that we are talking in relation to what should happen. And if the right club does not pop up, he continues in Ajax, where his contract will expire in one year."
Boilesen has made 15 appearances for the Danish national side.
