Aston Villa midfielder Brett Holman has admitted that he became frustrated at failing to feature regularly during the second half of the season.
Holman has been largely limited to substitute appearances since the beginning of 2013, and that has resulted in the Australian international revealing that he will consider his future at Villa Park while he is on international duty.
The 29-year-old told reporters: "I'm going to knuckle down for the next few weeks and then think about my future.
"Maybe I have to make a decision. It all depends on what happens at Villa. If something needs changing, a change will be made.
"It's frustrating, and you'd be crazy to say you're happy sitting on the bench every week. You miss that peak moment at the end of the week after working your backside off. You don't get any rewards for it."
The former AZ Alkmaar player still has two years remaining on his contract.
