Aston Villa defender Tommy Elphick has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Millwall.
Elphick was one of Villa's first signings after their relegation to the Championship in 2016, but the 30-year-old has barely been used by Steve Bruce during the current campaign.
The former Bournemouth man has featured in Villa's last three Championship fixtures but according to The Telegraph, Millwall are looking to succeed with an ambitious loan move.
Bruce has indicated that he will not stand in the way of Elphick if he wishes to leave the West Midlands, but that could depend on how the centre-back is used in the coming weeks.
Elphick - who has made a total of 32 appearances for the Birmingham-based club - still has 18 months remaining on his contract at Villa Park.
