Lewis Grabban will reportedly choose between Aston Villa and Cardiff City, as the Championship rivals have both opened talks with Bournemouth regarding a loan move.
The 30-year-old was recalled from his profitable stint with Sunderland earlier this month with the view to offload him permanently.
Cardiff, Villa and Wolverhampton Wanderers had all been tipped to make an approach for the Englishman, but no offers have been forthcoming and the Cherries will instead look to loan him out until the summer.
According to Sky Sports News, it is now a straight battle between the Villans and the Bluebirds to land Grabban's signature, with both teams desperate for a striker on deadline day.
Cardiff have also been linked with Gary Madine and David McGoldrick of Bolton Wanderers and Ipswich town respectively, while Angers ace Enzo Crivelli recently emerged as a possible option for fellow promotion chasers Villa.
