Sevilla forward Wissam Ben Yedder has allegedly emerged as a surprise transfer target for Aston Villa.
The Frenchman has enjoyed a successful three-year period with the La Liga club, contributing a total of 66 goals from 129 appearances in all competitions.
Manchester United have previously been linked with the 28-year-old, although it now appears that Villa have emerged as a potential destination for the frontman.
According to established Sevilla blogger 'InfoSevillista', Villa have made a 'last-minute bid' in the region of £29m.
Despite having already spent big money in order to bring in Wesley from Club Brugge, Villa remain in the market for a new forward on deadline day.
Ben Yedder has just two years left on his contract, something which will play into Villa's favour if they make an official approach.
