Oscar de Marcos has signed a new five-year contract with Athletic Bilbao.
The versatile Spaniard joined Bilbao from Deportivo Alaves in 2009 and has since made just short of 200 appearances for the Basque outfit.
During his time with the club, De Marcos has been deployed at full-back and in a wide attacking position, with his versatility making him a key player.
It is understood that the new deal, which will run until 2019, has made De Marcos one of the best-paid players at the club.
De Marcos has made seven starts for Bilbao this season.
