Andoni Iraola signs new Athletic Bilbao deal

Athletic Bilbao defender Andoni Iraola commits his future to the club until 2015.

Experienced defender Andoni Iraola has signed a new contract with Athletic Bilbao until 2015.

The 31-year-old, who has spent the last 10 seasons with the Basque outfit, has been ever-present in the club's first XI this season.

His previous deal was due to expire at the end of the season, which led to suggestions that a number of European sides were preparing to offer a deal in January.

However, the right-back is now contracted to the Spanish side until the end of next season.

It is believed that new deals for attackers Ibai Gomez and Iker Muniain are also close to completion.
