Athletic Bilbao midfielder Ander Herrera has admitted that it would be "a dream" to make the Spain squad for the World Cup this summer.
The 24-year-old is yet to make a senior appearance for La Roja, but it has been suggested that his form this season had drawn the attention of national team boss Vicente del Bosque.
"Some have said that Del Bosque may be interested in calling me up for the World Cup, that would make me happy," Inside Spanish Football quotes the midfielder as saying.
"It would be a dream for me to go to the World Cup, but I know that it is extremely hard to get on the roster. The illusion is huge, so hopefully I will get in."
Herrera made 15 appearances for Spain Under-21s from 2009 until 2011.
