Newcastle United are reportedly prepared to announce the sale of Miguel Almiron to Atlanta United.
The 30-year-old has struggled to cement a spot in the Magpies' starting XI this term, largely down to the excellent form of fellow right winger Jacob Murphy.
Almiron has featured in just nine Premier League contests for Eddie Howe's troops this term, starting once, managing only 151 minutes of top-flight action.
The South American's best campaign at the North-East giants arrived in 2022-23, when the quick attacker bagged 11 Premier League goals across 34 appearances.
According to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, Almiron's six-year stay at St James' Park is set to reach its conclusion before the end of the winter window.
The report claims that the Magpies have reached a full verbal agreement with Atlanta United over a switch back to MLS for the exciting Paraguayan.
It is understood that the American outfit will fork out just over £10m for the 30-year-old, who has supposedly agreed to a contract until the summer of 2029.
Almiron is no stranger to Atlanta, with the winger enjoying a success-laden spell at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium between 2017 and 2019, helping the club to its maiden MLS Cup crown in 2018.

Everton to sign 'mini-Messi' from Portugal?
Staying on the right flank, Marcus Edwards is reportedly in line for a move away from Sporting Lisbon this month, with Everton said to be in the race for his services.
The Englishman has struggled for gametime with the Portuguese giants during the 2024-25 campaign, starting only once in the Primeira Liga.
Ruben Amorim's departure to Manchester United has left Edwards in the first-team wilderness, sitting on the bench for the last seven games.
However, as per Football Insider, the 26-year-old could be offered an escape route out of his current employment this month back to England.
It is believed that Everton are very keen on bringing the winger to Goodison Park in an attempt to improve their lacklustre record in front of goal this season.
A right-sided player with a deadly left foot, Edwards supposedly fits the profile of a positive addition to David Moyes's ranks ahead of the February 3 deadline.
It is said that Sporting Lisbon are willing to entertain offers for the former Tottenham Hotspur youngster, with a bid of £10m likely enough to seal his signature.

Emery targets familiar face amid Villa injury crisis?
Also an ex-Spurs player, Juan Foyth could be joining Edwards in the Premier League for the second half of the campaign, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The journalist states that Aston Villa have identified the centre-back as a main target amid a injury crisis at the heart of Unai Emery's backline.
Pau Torres is set to be sidelined for around six weeks with a foot injury, whilst Tyrone Mings was forced off due to knee pain during the Villans' draw with West Ham United on Sunday afternoon.
Diego Carlos's exit to Fenerbahce has worsened the selection woes for Emery, who is set to play left-back Lucas Digne in the middle of defence in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
As a result, the Second City club are firmly in pursuit of a new defender this week, with Villarreal man Foyth a primary target for the Villans.
Featuring in just 181 minutes of La Liga action for the Yellow Submarine this term, there is a question of whether the 27-year-old will be able to hit the ground running on his return to England.
