Diego Simeone upbeat after goalless draw with Sevilla

Diego Simeone insists that there were positives to take from Atletico Madrid's goalless draw with Sevilla.

Diego Simeone has claimed that he was pleased with Atletico Madrid's display in the goalless draw with Sevilla.

Despite missing the opportunity to put more pressure on Barcelona and leaders Real Madrid, Simeone elected to remain positive as he singled out Koke and Fernando Torres for praise.

"I saw a very vibrant game," the Argentine told reporters. "I loved the effort of those who played.

"It's a good point because we competed against a direct rival for the top four.

"The entry of Koke improved our offensive game and Torres's input made me very happy. We need men like Torres, with his great enthusiasm."

Atletico are now seven points behind Real and could be replaced in third by Valencia when they meet in the Spanish capital next Sunday.
