Atletico Madrid have confirmed that they have reached an agreement to sign Alessio Cerci from Torino.
The winger has been linked with a host of clubs this summer, including AC Milan and Monaco.
However, this afternoon, the Spanish champions have revealed that the 27-year-old will join them, pending the passing of a medical.
"The agreement reached with Torino for the transfer of Cerci is a joy for all. It was a clear goal to finish strengthening our workforce to face all the challenges we have ahead of us this season," Atletico's sporting manager Jose Luis Perez Caminero told the club's official website.
"We've had to make an important effort after all the operations we did over the summer, but we're convinced that it was worth it because we consider him key to our team. He'll bring us penetration, speed and goals. It will allow us to have more alternatives in our offensive game."
Cerci has been capped on 13 occasions by Italy at senior international level.
