Atletico Madrid have signed full-back Cristian Ansaldi on a season-long loan from Zenit St Petersburg.
The Argentine can play on both sides of defence and will help fill the void left by Filipe Luis, who left the La Liga champions to join Chelsea earlier this summer.
Atletico sporting director Jose Luis Perez Caminero told the club's website: "Ansaldi is a player who will help us to increase the competitiveness of the group.
"This is a side that can act in both attack and defence and the transfer makes us even more versatile. We are very pleased with this agreement."
Ansaldi, 27, moved to Zenit in 2013 after spending five seasons with their Russian rivals Rubin Kazan.
