Atletico Madrid keen on Javier Pastore?

A report in Spain suggests that Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone wants Javier Pastore to replace Diego Ribas.

Atletico Madrid are reportedly eager to sign Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Javier Pastore.

Diego Simeone is believed to be in the market for a player to fill the void left by Diego Ribas, who recently joined Turkish side Fenerbahce.

He has identified Argentine Pastore as the ideal replacement, with discussions between the two clubs regarding his availability underway, according to AS.

However, the report adds that Atletico are unlikely to be able to afford PSG's asking price for the 25-year-old, so they would look to take him to the Vicente Calderon on a loan basis.

Italian champions Juventus are also thought to be monitoring Pastore's situation at the Parc des Princes.
