Raul Garcia open to Atletico Madrid stay

Atletico Madrid midfielder Raul Garcia confirms that he wants to extend his contract with the club.

Raul Garcia has revealed that he would be prepared to pen a fresh contract with Atletico Madrid.

The 27-year-old, who joined the capital outfit from Osasuna in 2007, is in the last year of his contract with Diego Simeone's side.

"There are those leading these discussions, yet I have said nothing, I am looking to always work the same way and I am a little removed from this," Garcia told reporters at a press conference.

"When something is closed I will talk. I'm very comfortable here and integrated, things are going well and I arrived everything has been better. I'm going through a nice time and if the club want it, I am happy to stay."

Altetico resume domestic action against Espanyol this weekend.
