Dani Alves has said that he will do all he can "to help rebuild the best club in the world", having secured a return to Barcelona on a contract for the remainder of the season.
The 38-year-old had been without a club due to his departure from Sao Paulo in September, but it was announced on Friday that he had returned to Camp Nou on a short-term deal.
Alves will train alongside his new teammates next week but will not be able to make his second debut for the Catalan giants until January.
The Brazilian took to Instagram shortly after the announcement was made and revealed that he 'always knew' a return to Camp Nou would take place.
"I knew within my heart and within my soul that this day would come," he wrote on social media. "See you soon with the same desire to help rebuild the best club in the world!"
Meanwhile, former Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta has also revealed that he wants to return at some stage in the future, having watched Xavi become the new manager at the club.
