Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde concedes that he is "worried" by his team's form following Saturday's 2-0 loss to Granada.

Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde has admitted that he is "worried" by his team's form amid their worst start to a La Liga campaign since the 1994-95 season.

Saturday's 2-0 defeat at Granada means that the Spanish champions have now lost two of their five La Liga matches this term to sit seventh in the table on seven points.

The Catalan giants are yet to win on the road during the 2019-20 campaign, and Valverde has conceded that he he has concerns when it comes to their away form.

"I'm worried because away from home we aren't getting good results. When four away games have gone by, it's a symptom that something isn't too good," Valverde told reporters.

"There are players who arrived late, but we haven't been good, we're not playing well away. We dominated, but we don't turn that into goalscoring chances. We haven't had a chance of turning the game around."

Barca are only three points off the top of the division as things stand although that gap would become six points if Sevilla overcome Real Madrid in Sunday night's clash at the Estadio Ramon.
