Barcelona will be without Spanish midfielder Andres Iniesta for their La Liga clash with relegation-threatened Real Valladolid on Saturday.

Three points for the Catalan outfit against Valladolid would move them temporarily to the top of the table, with first-place Real Madrid not playing until Sunday.

The champions will be without the services of Iniesta, however, following his wife's miscarriage on Thursday evening.

Gerard Pique has been named in the squad alongside Dutchman Ibrahim Afellay. There is no place for Carlos Puyol, however, who announced that he will leave the Camp Nou in the summer.
