Neymar aims to emulate Lionel Messi

Brazilian youngster Neymar sets himself the target of becoming as good as Barcelona's Lionel Messi.

Santos striker Neymar has revealed that he hopes to be as good as Barcelona's Lionel Messi.

Neymar, who has been linked with transfers to both Barca and Real Madrid in the past, has described the Argentinian attacker as the "best in the world".

"Messi is the best in the world. A great player," the 19-year-old is quoted as saying by Sport. "Everyone knows what he can do.

"Right now, he is one of the best in the world. He is above the rest. I want to do everything he does."

Santos could come up against Messi should their respective club advance to the final of this week's FIFA Club World Cup in Japan.
