Barcelona president Joan Laporta has reportedly identified Ajax manager Erik ten Hag as the leading candidate to become the club's next head coach.
Laporta has insisted that current boss Ronald Koeman will not be sacked over the international break, but the Dutchman's future at Camp Nou is far from certain.
Belgium boss Roberto Martinez, River Plate manager Marcelo Gallardo and Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel are among the individuals to be linked with the position in recent days.
However, according to Marca, Laporta views Ten Hag as the number one target to take charge.
The 51-year-old has managed Ajax since 2017 and has led the Dutch giants to two Eredivisie titles, with an impressive 2020-21 campaign seeing the team pick up 88 points from their 34 matches.
Ten Hag's current deal in Amsterdam is due to run until the end of the 2022-23 campaign.
