Marc-Andre ter Stegen has revealed that he is keen to impress Barcelona boss Luis Enrique as the German attempts to wrestle the number one goalkeeping spot away from Claudio Bravo.
Ter Stegen and Bravo both arrived at the Camp Nou as direct replacements for Victor Valdes and Jose Pinto, who were released in the summer.
Ter Stegen has made two Champions League appearances for the Spanish club, but Bravo has been first choice in La Liga thus far.
"We both want to make life difficult for [boss] Luis Enrique but my two appearances in the Champions League were great experiences," he told Bild.
"I'm a realist and I analyse my performances, but I'm getting better every day because I'm training with the best players in the world."
The 22-year-old joined Barca from Borussia Monchengladbach.
