Xavi ready to continue international career

Xavi claims that he is planning on being part of the Spain squad that will travel to the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

Spanish midfielder Xavi has hinted that he is not yet ready to retire from international football.

Reports had claimed that the 32-year-old would call time on his career with La Roja after last night's Euro 2012 final against Italy.

However, having helped guide the Spanish to a 4-0 win and the trophy in Kiev, the Barcelona playmaker has revealed that he is planning to travel to 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

"If I feel fine, I will be there," he told Marca. "I will speak with coach Vicente del Bosque but in principle, yes I will be there."

Xavi has made 115 appearances for his country.
