Ernesto Valverde insists that he will not contemplate resigning as Barcelona boss, despite Saturday's shock defeat at Levante.

Ernesto Valverde has revealed that he has no intention of resigning as manager of Barcelona.

While the Catalan giants maintain their position at the top of the La Liga standings after Saturday's 3-1 defeat to Levante, Valverde remains under pressure to keep his job at the Catalan giants.

However, the Spaniard, who has guided the club to back-to-back top-flight crowns, is confident that his players will deliver a positive reaction to their latest setback.

At a press conference, Valverde told reporters: "Of course I'm not thinking about resigning, it's just a defeat.

"The players have responded and we have to continue. We have lost a match and that's it; we always react and this time won't be any different."

Barcelona are next in action when they face Slavia Prague in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
