AC Milan are reportedly closely monitoring the situation surrounding Brazilian defender Emerson.
The 21-year-old signed for Barcelona from Atletico Mineiro ahead of the 2019-20 campaign but immediately joined Real Betis as part of a joint financial operation.
Barca allegedly have the option of officially bringing the right-back to Camp Nou for £8m this summer, and Emerson recently insisted that he would be "ready" to represent the Spanish champions.
However, according to Mundo Deportivo, Milan are also keeping a close eye on developments as they weigh up a bid during this summer's transfer window.
The South American has been in impressive form during the current season, scoring three times and contributing five assists in 23 La Liga outings.
Barca are believed to have initially planned on bringing Emerson to the club from Betis ahead of the 2021-22 season.
