Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri insists that Alvaro Morata will not be leaving the club to join Barcelona this month.

Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri has insisted that Alvaro Morata will not be leaving the club this month to complete a move to Barcelona.

The Spain international, who is currently on loan at Juventus from Atletico Madrid, has been strongly linked with a switch to Camp Nou in recent days.

A recent report claimed that a deal to take the 29-year-old to Camp Nou was '95% done', with Barcelona due to sign him on loan from Atletico before completing a permanent deal at the end of the 2021-22 campaign.

However, Allegri has insisted that the Spaniard, who has scored seven times and registered three assists in 23 outings for the Italian giants this season, will not be leaving Turin in January.

"I told Alvaro that he is staying here, he is not leaving Juventus, end of story," Allegri told reporters.

As it stands, the Old Lady also have the chance to sign Morata on a permanent deal at the end of the season for a fee believed to be in the region of €35m (£29m).
