Barcelona 'pushing to sign Rodrigo Moreno in next 48 hours'

Barcelona will meet with Valencia over the next 48 hours in the hope of concluding a deal for Rodrigo Moreno, according to a report.

Barcelona will reportedly meet with Valencia over the next 48 hours in the hope of coming to an agreement over a deal for Rodrigo Moreno.

The Spanish champions are believed to have identified the 28-year-old as the perfect player to boost their attack during the January transfer window.

Rodrigo has been in impressive form for Los Che this season, contributing four goals and 10 assists in all competitions, while he played a part in his team's 2-0 win over Barca on Saturday afternoon.

According to Marca, the Catalan giants are pushing to complete a deal for the Spain international over the next 48 hours, although the two clubs are still some way apart in terms of negotiations.

The report claims that Valencia value the attacker in the region of £51m, but Barca are keen to secure his services on loan with the view to a permanent move this summer.

Injuries to Luis Suarez and Ousmane Dembele have left new head coach Quique Setien short of experienced options in the final third of the field.
