Barcelona 'eyeing move for Paris Saint-Germain's Juan Bernat'

Paris Saint-Germain defender Juan Bernat emerges as a target for Barcelona, according to a report.

Barcelona are reportedly considering a summer move for Paris Saint-Germain defender Juan Bernat.

The 27-year-old's existing deal in Paris is due to expire at the end of the season, and there has still not been announcement on the Spain international's future.

Bernat has been on the sidelines since last September with a serious knee injury, but he has made 76 appearances for the French champions since arriving from Bayern Munich in 2018.

Barca are believed to be keen to sign a new left-back ahead of the 2021-22 campaign to provide competition for Jordi Alba as Junior Firpo's future at the club is unclear.

According to L'Equipe, Ronald Koeman's side are keeping a close eye on Bernat's situation in the French capital and will make a move if he does not pen a new deal.

The defender previously represented Valencia in La Liga between 2011 and 2014.
