Barcelona are reportedly monitoring Inter Milan defensive duo Milan Skriniar and Stefan de Vrij.
The two players have both impressed in Inter's excellent start to the 2019-20 campaign, with the pair forming a strong back three alongside summer arrival Diego Godin.
Earlier this month, it was claimed that Barca had attempted to sign De Vrij during the summer transfer window but could not convince Inter to part with the Netherlands international.
Skriniar, meanwhile, was linked with the likes of Manchester United and Manchester City ahead of the 2019-20 campaign before ultimately signing a new contract at San Siro.
According to Calciomercato, Barca are desperate to bring a new centre-back to the club, and the Spanish champions are closely monitoring developments surrounding De Vrij and Skriniar as the duo are highly regarded by senior figures at Camp Nou.
Clement Lenglet has overtaken the injury-prone Samuel Umtiti to become Gerard Pique's preferred partner at the heart of the Barca defence, but Ernesto Valverde's side are short in that area of the field.
