Josep Maria Bartomeu: 'We have resources available'

Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu insists that the club will strengthen their squad this summer.

Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu has insisted that the Catalan outfit will sign new players this summer.

It had been questioned whether the former La Liga champions had the funds needed to strengthen their squad before the start of the 2014-15 campaign.

However, Bartomeu has told the club's supporters to remain calm and claimed that "it's a long process and we have experience".

"Some things go faster than others," he told Onda Cero.

"There are clubs that want to sell and others that don't. It's a long process and we have experience.

"It will be a profound renovation. I won't say the figures we will invest, I will only say that we have the resources to do it."

A number of first-team players are expected to leave Barca this summer.
