Inter Miami midfielder Blaise Matuidi has said that his France teammate Antoine Griezmann would be welcome in the United States should he opt to make the switch from Barcelona.
The former Atletico Madrid man has had a mixed time at Camp Nou since his arrival but boasts 15 goals from 51 appearances for Barcelona nonetheless.
Now Matuidi, who joined Inter Miami from Juventus in the summer, has backed his compatriot to pull through in Catalonia but has affirmed that the Miami door is open if Griezmann were to seek pastures new.
"He is still young. But if he's called me? He's in one of the biggest clubs in the world," Matuidi told Canal Plus.
"He has to go through this little difficult moment that he is going through in Barcelona, he still has many good years left at this club, he still has a long-term contract.
"I don't know, the future will tell. But if one day he wants to come [to Inter Miami], of course he will be welcome."
Griezmann is contracted to Barcelona until 2024.
