Paulinho 'agrees Guangzhou Evergrande return'

Barcelona midfielder Paulinho agrees to re-join Guangzhou Evergrande in a £44m deal, according to a report.

Barcelona midfielder Paulinho has reportedly agreed to re-join Guangzhou Evergrande in a £44m deal.

The 29-year-old joined Barcelona from Guangzhou last summer, and scored nine times in 49 appearances for the Spanish giants during the 2017-18 campaign.

Paulinho has been linked with a return to the Chinese Super League in recent days, however, and the midfielder recently conceded that he could depart Camp Nou after just one season.

According to Mundo Deportivo, the Brazilian has now agreed to return to China, with Guangzhou making an 'irresistible offer' to the midfielder, who could earn more than £40m over four years.

The deal would also see Barcelona make a profit on a player they signed for £35m in last summer's transfer window.
