Sergi Samper has insisted that he will "accept" leaving Barcelona on loan this summer if Luis Enrique decides that the midfielder's development should continue away from Camp Nou.
The Spaniard, who came through the youth ranks at Barcelona, signed a new long-term contract with the Catalan giants earlier this month, committing his future until the summer of 2019.
It is unclear whether Samper is part of Enrique's plans for the new season, however, and the 21-year-old has revealed that he would be prepared to spend the 2016-17 campaign away from his parent club.
"If the coach tells me that the best thing is for me to leave on loan, I will accept it. My idea is to stay here. I want to stay. There are many matches and the season is very long," Samper told Marca.
Samper has only made one La Liga appearance for Barcelona.
