Valencia have reportedly made progress in their efforts to sign Barcelona duo Rafinha and Denis Suarez.
Marcelino is looking to strengthen his squad this summer after a fourth-placed finish in La Liga and winning the Copa del Rey, while Barcelona are looking to offload a number of their fringe players.
That has seemingly resulted with Rafinha and Suarez moving to the brink of a switch to the Mestalla, according to Marca, as the clubs negotiate terms for the two midfielders.
Rafinha missed the majority of the most recent campaign due to injury, but the 26-year-old may be ready to feature during the opening weeks of the new season.
The report adds that a deal for the Brazilian appears more likely at this stage, although Valencia remain interested in bringing in Suarez.
The playmaker does not feature in the plans of manager Ernesto Valverde, who allowed him to go out on loan to Arsenal in January.
