Lamine Yamal's agent Jorge Mendes has insisted that his client will sign a new contract with Barcelona following a meeting with club president Joan Laporta.
The Blaugrana have made contract renewals a top priority in recent times, having announced new deals for Ronald Araujo, Gerard Martin, Pedri, Gavi and Pau Cubarsi.
They are expected to be close to announcing an extension for experienced defender Inigo Martinez, who is out of contract at the end of the season.
A recent report also claimed that Barcelona have now opened contract talks with Raphinha, as they look to secure the Brazilian's long-term future.

Yamal's agent makes contract assurance
Barcelona also want to announce a new deal for Yamal, who has entered the final 18 months of his current contract.
The 17-year-old has previously confirmed his desire to sign a new contract, and his agent has now reiterated that stance after holding a meeting with Laporta and sporting director Deco in Lisbon ahead of Barcelona's Champions League clash with Benfica.
Speaking to Spanish media, Mendes said: "Lamine is going to continue at Barca, the important thing now is to think about sporting matters."
Yamal cannot sign a new deal longer than three years until he turns 18 in July, but there is already believed to be an agreement in place for him to commit his future to the club until 2030.

Reward for Yamal's extraordinary rise
Yamal's new deal will be a reward for the incredible impact that he has made since making his senior debut in a La Liga game against Real Betis in April 2023.
The winger has gone on to make 86 competitive appearances for the Blaugrana, scoring 18 goals and providing 23 assists.
He has been in sublime form in Hansi Flick's first season as Barcelona's head coach, registering 11 goals and 16 assists in 35 matches in all competitions.
Yamal will be key if Barcelona are to make this season one to remember, with the Blaugrana eyeing silverware in La Liga, Copa del Rey and the Champions League.
