Barnet snap up Nicky Bailey on short-term deal

Free agent Nicky Bailey makes a return to former club Barnet, eight years after originally departing.

Former Millwall defender Nicky Bailey has joined Barnet on a short-term deal.

The 31-year-old midfielder, who spent three years at The Hive earlier in his career, had been without a club since being released by the Lions at the end of last season.

Bailey was crowned the Bees' Player of the Year in 2007 to earn a move to Southend United, before taking in spells at Charlton Athletic, Middlesbrough and Millwall in the Championship.

Barnet, who head to Oxford United on Saturday afternoon, are currently 19th in the League Two table.
