Sports Mole previews Saturday's Championship clash between Barnsley and Charlton Athletic.

Barnsley will attempt to register their first point of the Championship season when they welcome Charlton Athletic on Saturday.

David Flitcroft's side have lost both of their fixtures in the league thus far, with a 4-0 defeat to Wigan Athletic followed by a 1-0 loss to Blackpool last time out.

Charlton have also struggled in the opening weeks of the season, however, with defeats to Bournemouth and Middlesbrough leaving them without a point, but they did advance to the next round of the League Cup with a 4-0 win over Oxford United on August 6.

Charlton will be boosted by their performance at this stadium last season, however, when they recorded a thumping 6-0 win over their hosts in April of this year.

The home side have no fresh injury concerns ahead of the match, but Barnsley boss Flitcroft could make changes following their poor start to the season.

Jacob Mellis should come into the team after a cameo against Blackpool last time out, while former Ipswich Town striker Jason Scotland is also pushing for a starting role in the side.

Charlton boss Chris Powell, meanwhile, is expected to make changes with Simon Church due to come into the forward line alongside Yann Kermorgant.

Marvin Sordell could drop to the bench following a difficult start to the season, but Johnnie Jackson is fit despite suffering a knock in training this week.

Recent form:

Barnsley: LL

Charlton: LWL

Possible lineups:

Barnsley: Steele; Golbourne, Wiseman, M'voto, Brien; Mellis, Perkins, Digby, Cywka; O'Grady, Scotland

Charlton: Hamer; Morrison, Dervite, Wiggins, Solly; Jackson, Green, Harriotts, Gower; Kermorgant, Church

Sports Mole says: 1-1
