Corsican derby falls foul of bad weather

SC Bastia's Corsican derby with Gazelec Ajaccio falls foul of the weather, but is rescheduled for Sunday afternoon.

SC Bastia's Corsican derby with Ligue 1 debutants Gazelec Ajaccio has been called off due to strong winds.

However, local officials have rescheduled the game at the Stade Armand-Cesari to take place on Sunday at 2pm CET (1pm BST).

The build-up to the game has been dogged by suggestions that fans of both Corsican clubs would not sing La Marseillaise as a tribute to the victims of the Paris terrorist attacks last Friday. This is thought to be because many who live on the island would like independence from France.

Every Ligue 1 match this weekend will play France's national anthem in honour of those who lost their lives.
