Bayern Munich have reportedly identified Zinedine Zidane as a potential replacement for Nico Kovac.
Zidane has been out of work since choosing to leave Real Madrid at the end of last season, but the Frenchman continues to be linked with a number of top jobs in world football.
According to The Sun, Bayern have started to consider an approach for Zidane after a poor start to the season under Kovac.
The Croatian has won 12 of his 18 matches in charge at the Allianz Arena, but Bayern currently sit in fifth place in the Bundesliga standings and seven points adrift of leaders Borussia Dortmund.
Kovac holds a three-year contract at Bayern, but that is unlikely to be a factor if the club's hierarchy feel that they can bring in Zidane.
