Manuel Neuer says that Bayern Munich cannot afford to drop points against Schalke in the Bundesliga on Saturday.

Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer has insisted that his side need to win against Schalke in the Bundesliga on Saturday.

The Bavarian giants will head into the game at the Allianz Arena 12 points clear at the top of the league table.

"We can't allow ourselves any slip-ups and the three points are a must," Neuer told Bayern's official website.

"Schalke generally play well against big-name opponents, and they'll definitely be looking to trip us up.

"We have to be totally focused, and we'll need the right attitude and form on the day."

Schalke are currently sixth in the Bundesliga table.
