Team News: Mario Gotze returns for Bayern Munich in only change

Mario Gotze replaces Bastian Schweinsteiger for Bayern Munich's only change to the starting lineup for tonight's trip to take on Bayer Leverkusen.

Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola has made just the one change to his side for this evening's DFB-Pokal quarter-final tie against Bayer Leverkusen.

Mario Gotze returns to the fold in place of the injured Bastian Schweinsteiger for the trip to the BayArena, as the Bavarian giants go in search of another domestic league and cup double.

The visitors have been struck down by various injury problems in recent weeks, which means a somewhat weaker bench on the face of it, although Guardiola can still call upon Thiago Alcantara and the experienced Claudio Pizarro should he wish.

As far as Bayer are concerned, Roger Schmidt has opted to make two changes by bringing Roberto Hilbert and Emir Spahic into the starting lineup. Tin Jedvaj and Kyriakos Papadopoulos are the men to make way for an in-form Leverkusen side.

Bayer Leverkusen: Leno; Hilbert, Toprak, Spahic, Wendell; Bender, Rolfes; Bellarabi, Castro, Brandt; Kiessling
Subs: Reinartz, Drmic, Calhanoglu, Papadopoulos, Jedvaj, Kresic, Donati

Bayern Munich XI: Neuer; Benatia, Boateng, Dante; Rafinha, Lahm, Alonso, Gotze, Bernat; Muller, Lewandowski
Subs: Thiago, Pizarro, Guadino, Rode, Reina, Badstuber, Weiser
