Bayern Munich confirm that they have reached an agreement with Granada over the transfer of Bryan Zaragoza.

Bayern Munich have confirmed that they have reached an agreement with Granada over the transfer of Spain international Bryan Zaragoza during next summer's transfer window.

The attacker will finish the 2023-24 campaign at Granada before making the move to Bayern, with the Bundesliga champions believed to have beaten a number of clubs to his signature.

"Bryan Zaragoza is set to join FC Bayern from Granada for the 2024/25 season after the Bundesliga champions reached an agreement with the Spanish club for the attacker. The 22-year-old Spain international will sign a five-year contract through to 30 June 2029," read a statement on the club's official website.

Meanwhile, the German club's sporting director Christoph Freund added: "Bryan Zaragoza is an explosive, very quick and extremely nimble winger, who can play on either side. He's unpredictable, can score and is very good one-v-one.

"He's already made his senior debut for Spain this year and has a lot of potential. Bryan is one of Spain's up-and-coming players and has been on our radar for a while.

"He'll increase our attacking options. We wish him the best of luck for the rest of the season with Granada and look forward to him joining us in the summer."

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, RB Leipzig wanted to sign Zaragoza for €14m (£12m) in January, but the forward was determined to remain with Granada for the rest of the season in a bid to help them stay in La Liga.

Bayern will allegedly pay €15m (£12.9m) for the forward, who made his first-team debut for Granada in 2021.

Zaragoza has represented his current side on 51 occasions, scoring 10 goals and registering three assists in the process.

The forward has been in strong form for Granada during the 2023-24 campaign, scoring five goals and registering two assists in 14 La Liga appearances.

However, a difficult season to date for the Andalusian outfit has left them down in 19th position in the table, four points from the safety of 17th position.

Zaragoza made his Spain debut against Scotland in October and will be hoping to be a part of the La Roja squad for next summer's European Championship.
