Everton 'in talks with Denzel Dumfries over summer move'

Everton are reportedly in discussions with PSV Eindhoven defender Denzel Dumfries over a potential move to Goodison Park during this summer's transfer window.

The 25-year-old impressed for the Netherlands at Euro 2020, while he enjoyed a strong 2020-21 campaign for his Dutch club, scoring four times and registering nine assists in 41 appearances.

PSV manager Roger Schmidt recently admitted that he is expecting Dumfries to leave the club this summer, and a number of European teams have been credited with an interest.

According to Eindhovens Dagblad journalist Rik Elfrink, Everton are currently 'in talks' with the defender over a switch to Merseyside.

Elfrink claims that the Toffees are yet to submit an official offer but one is 'expected soon', as the Premier League outfit look to win the race for the full-back's signature.

Dumfries, who is also thought to have attracted the attention of Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich, is believed to be valued by PSV in the region of €25m (£21.5m).
