Real Betis have been hit with the news that Didac Vila will miss the remainder of the season after suffering a tibial fracture in his left leg during the goalless draw with Elche at the weekend.

Vila, 24, is currently on loan at the La Liga club from AC Milan, but is not expected to feature again this season after scans revealed the seriousness of the injury.

Caro, who replaced Vila at the weekend, will also miss the next month of the campaign, meanwhile, after suffering a knee injury in the same match.

Betis currently sit rock bottom of La Liga on 19 points, eight points from safety with 10 games remaining.
