Birmingham City boss Chris Hughton plays down his side's chances of progressing from their Europa League group ahead of their match with Brugge.

Birmingham City manager Chris Hughton believes that Brugge and Braga are still favourites to qualify from their Europa League group, despite his side's strong position.

The Blues, who are currently top of Group H, can give themselves a great opportunity of progressing if they beat Brugge on Thursday night.

Hughton, however, has played down his side's chances.

"For me Brugge and Braga are still favourites in the group because they are the teams that have been there and done it and have got the experience," Hughton told the club's official website.

"The fact that we're at home possibly changes the perspective of what some people think the group might end up as."

Meanwhile, Birmingham are currently 11th in the Championship table.
