Former Celtic, Barcelona and Manchester United striker Henrik Larsson is thought to be on the shortlist for the job of Blackburn Rovers manager.
Eric Black is currently in caretaker charge at Rovers following the resignation of Steve Kean last week.
Rovers bosses are drawing up a shortlist of applicants after having an approach for Tim Sherwood turned down by Tottenham Hotspur over the weekend.
According to the Daily Mail, Larsson is in the frame after telling his current club Landskrona that he will not be renewing his contract at the end of the season.
The 41-year-old has impressed in his maiden coaching role at the second division Swedish club, and believes that he is ready to make a step up in class for his next managerial role.
