Serie A outfit Bologna are reportedly interested in signing Daniel Sturridge, who is available on a free transfer this summer.

Daniel Sturridge has reportedly emerged as a summer transfer target for Serie A side Bologna.

The forward is a free agent having been released by Liverpool at the end of the season, which ended a six-and-a-half-year spell at Anfield.

The 29-year-old will not be short of offers, with it being claimed that Aston Villa are interested in signing the Birmingham-born player.

However, according to The Express, Bologna are prepared to hand the England international an opportunity to play in Italy's top flight.

It has been suggested that ‎I Rossoblu, who finished in 10th position during the most recent campaign, may struggle to meet Sturridge's wage demands.
