Fabrice Muamba's fiancee Shauna asks supporters to "keep praying" for the Bolton midfielder, who continues to fight for his life in hospital.

Fabrice Muamba's fiancee, Shauna, has urged everyone to "keep praying" for the Bolton Wanderers midfielder as he remains critically ill in hospital.

The 23-year-old suffered a cardiac arrest during the Trotters' FA Cup quarter-final against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.

Shauna posted on Twitter: "Please keep praying for @fmuamba its really helping I can feel it xx."

Muamba's fiancee, who has a son Joshua with the midfielder, later added: "For all your messages of love thank u so much. Where there is life there is hope xx."

The 23-year-old collapsed in the first half of the FA Cup match at White Hart Lane.
