Juventus cruised through to the quarter-finals of the Champions League with a 3-0 victory over Borussia Dortmund at Signal Iduna Park.
Carlos Tevez started the scoring with a powerful strike from 25 yards in the third minute, and second-half goals from Alvaro Morata and the Argentine completed a 5-1 aggregate triumph.

Was the result fair?
Yes, not even the most passionate of Dortmund's loyal fans could argue with the outcome of the tie. After producing a decent performance in Turin last month, Jurgen Klopp's side were blown away in this game and there was only ever going to be one winner. In every department Juventus were the better side, and despite the statistics suggesting that Dortmund may have controlled the game, the home side were unable to use possession effectively. The emphatic scoreline may come as a surprise to some, but it was certainly a deserved win for Massimiliano Allegri's men.
Borussia Dortmund's performance
In a season which has had highs and many, many lows, this will come as a huge disappointment to the club and its supporters. Despite seeing plenty of the ball, the home side never even looked like staying in the tie after Tevez's opener and the performances of their big players will be very difficult for the supporters to accept. Marco Reus, usually at the heart of every attack, was virtually anonymous and not many players could argue they had a good game. Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Ilkay Gundogan and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang were all well below their best as Klopp's key players failed to deliver the goods.
At the back, the display wasn't much better. European football fans have quickly become used to seeing Dortmund playing a high line and pressing the ball, but the hosts managed to do the former without the other. It meant that Juventus were always threatening with simple balls into the channels, and their clinical forwards made the difference. On another disappointing evening, Klopp might be lost for words.
Juventus's performance
Allegri will be absolutely delighted with his players. Juventus produced one of the great away performances in the Champions League, and the gameplan was executed to perfection. From the first minute, it was clear that the midfield diamond would sit deep before attacking at pace with the front two, and their task was made much easier when Tevez fired home the early opener. After taking the lead, it was simply brilliant from the visitors. Without Andrea Pirlo and after losing Paul Pogba to a hamstring injury in the first half, it could have been a tricky night, but the midfield just kept getting better. Arturo Vidal's aggressive approach unsettled Dortmund, while Claudio Marchisio produced a classy display in front of the back four to run the show.
In defence, Giorgio Chiellini and Leonardo Bonucci were two of the star performers. Aubameyang was never given the room to use his space as the defensive duo met every ball to prevent the home side from making further progress. Neither looked troubled at any stage of the night as they produced performances which provided the vital platform for an excellent defensive display.
The attacking pair of Morata and Tevez were at their best, too. Despite being kept on the fringes for long spells, they came to life on the break and their partnership continues to grow on important nights for the club. Each striker troubled the home defence with their running in behind, while both impressed with their work-rate as well as their impact in front of goal.

Carlos Tevez: It's one of the hardest decisions of the season, but Tevez gets this award just ahead of Marchisio, Chiellini and Bonucci. The Argentine was at his best at Signal Iduna Park. A willing runner off the ball, the forward was always a threat running from deep and his clever movement behind the defence was key in the second half as Juventus exposed Dortmund's vulnerabilities. Two goals and assist away from home in the Champions League. It doesn't get much better.
Biggest gaffe
The whole Dortmund defence gets the credit. With the tie already over at 2-0, the back four all missed the run of Tevez, who took advantage of a suicidal high line to sprint clear and fire past Roman Weidenfeller. On a night when the defence always looked nervy, that mistake will stand out.
Referee performance
Milorad Mazic could have perhaps booked Vidal when he clashed with Reus early in the game, but his eagerness to let the game flow made it an enjoyable contest.
What next?
Dortmund: Klopp must now rally the troops ahead of Sunday's Bundesliga trip to face Hannover.
Juventus: The Bianconeri will look to take another step closer to a Serie A title when they host Genoa on Sunday afternoon.
