Jurgen Klopp satisfied with Borussia Dortmund victory

Jurgen Klopp admits that Borussia Dortmund need to improve on their finishing but declares himself happy with the way his team played in the 1-0 win over Werder Bremen.

Borussia Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp had no complaints with his team's performance in last night's 1-0 victory over Werder Bremen.

Robert Lewandowski's second goal of the season saw Jurgen Klopp's men keep intact their 100% start to the Bundesliga season, although Die Schwarzgelben missed a plethora of chances at the Westfalenstadion.

"I thought we started well," Klopp told the club's official website. "We played impressively, but we were not able to get through their defence. We wanted to play with pace, but that degenerated quickly into just playing hectic.

"But we performed in the second half, the foot was no longer removed from the gas, the leadership was important.

"I do not think that, after nine points from three games, having so much profligacy is the best thing. But missed opportunities are part of our game that we need to improve on and in all other areas we still have room for improvement. But what can I complain about? We brutally handled a venomous opponent for at least 80 minutes."

Dortmund travel to Eintracht Frankfurt for their next league fixture on September 1.
